For Spring Summer 2023, Ferragamo introduces new optical and sunglass styles with lenses and frames made of Eastman Tritan™ Renew, using in the manufacturing process 50% recycled* polyester derived from waste plastics. Testimony to the Florentine House's long-standing commitment to environmental sustainability, the new models offer a new, stylish interpretation of Ferragamo's unmistakable icon in the customized Gancini 3D print embellishing the temples on the outside and a metal plaque bearing the Ferragamo logo on the inside.
SF1088SE These sunglasses' bold, oversized silhouette features square gradient lenses and thick temples. The model is available in Black, Ivory, Dark Brown, and Dark Khaki color variants.
SF2956E Oversized optical style's square lenses and bold frame. The range of color options includes Tortoise, Black, Dark Khaki, and Burgundy.
SF2957E This oversized optical style boasts round lenses and a bold frame. The style is offered in Burgundy, Black, Tortoise, and Petrol.
*Recycled content allocated using the mass balance approach. In fact, physical segregation of recycled content is infeasible in chemical recycling processes, as recycled and non-recycled feedstocks are typically blended in the manufacturing stage. The mass balance approach makes it possible to track the recycled content in the value chain by conventionally assuming that the recycled content in the final product has to match the original, recycled input. The main criteria of the ISCC sustainability scheme are based on the Directive (EU) 2018/2001 (recast) (RED II), whereas ISCC Plus applies to all markets and sectors not regulated by RED II and therefore include some additional requirements.
